Christine is the programme leader for the BA/BA (Hons) Drama and Performance degree and has over 30 years of experience working in the arts and higher education. She is a recognised and well respected movement specialist and choreographer having trained in dance and human movement studies. She has a special interest in period movement and physical theatre. Christine鈥檚 main focus for many years has been the provision of actor training and she has worked with and trained many internationally recognised professionals who have appeared in film, television and theatre. Christine is committed to the concepts of social enterprise, mental health and well being and values drama as a transformative tool. She is also recognised for her work in the areas of body awareness and mindfulness meditation.
Academically, Christine鈥檚 main areas of expertise are programme management, curriculum design, personal and professional 性用社ment and life long learning. At the heart of her philosophy lies a dedication to an holistic approach to movement and continuing professional 性用社ment (CPD) as part of the overall student experience in drama and performance.
My primary teaching and learning areas include the following topics: - history of theatre聽and traditional and contemporary aspects of performance聽. I supervise student performance projects and mentor students 性用社ing their professional practice. I support students to examine the creative process, to challenge conventional assumptions and to 性用社 collaborative working practices which will assist them in their future careers.聽聽聽
