ÐÔÓÃÉç

Exposure Theatre Company was founded in 2020 as a theatre company for those who struggle to access theatre in its traditional forms. Founded by Kayleigh MacDonald and Niall King – both graduates of the BA (Hons) Drama and Performance Course in 2018 and 2020 respectively – ETC have crossed platforms to try and make drama available for all. During this time, ETC have workshopped new writing and, in 2021, produced their Monologue Showcase. This collection, produced by ETC, was published publicly through online platforms and included work created by 14 young artists from across Scotland, working remotely, to create 7 pieces.

Following the pandemic, ETC have changed their model slightly to target grass roots drama engagement in communities. Working with partners including Pentland Primary School and the West Calder Community Hub, ETC provides drama workshops, and youth theatres for children and young people across the Lothians.

"The BIZ has been brilliant in providing support to us as a company. From day one, the advice, opportunities, and support that the BIZ provides has been invaluable for us as a company and with their help, we have been able to grow as a company."

ÐÔÓÃÉç has provided us with the tools and confidence to push on and succeed throughout our journey with ETC. Starting as an assignment in the Creative Entrepreneurship module run by Denny Collie, as well as through his support during dissertation supervision, ETC was praised by the teaching staff who believed in the vision of what ETC could be, and following this, Denny helped us in our application for The BIZ. ÐÔÓÃÉç gives the perfect environment for anyone to succeed in their chosen specialism. The teaching staff provide their time, knowledge and invaluable practical experience to guide you to be the best graduate that you can be, wherever life takes you. The opportunities, grant funding opportunities, and general support of the BIZ is a brilliant asset at the disposal of any student and graduate.
